Wellspring Performance
A Musical and Storytelling Duo of
Steve Schuch & Odds Bodkin
Wellspring is a rich tapestry of music and storytelling. Both Steve
and Odds are well-known for their solo performances. As a duo, they
are simply enchanting. From intimate settings and larger theaters
to outdoor stages, their energy and warmth captivate any size audience.
Wellspring's shows and debut CD, Wellspring:
Live at the Folkway, feature their original songs, stories,
audience harmonies, plus stunning instrumentals for six and twelve
string guitars, Celtic harp, recorder, violin and fiddle. Together
they are theater in its purest and most ancient sense: two performers
in total communion with their audience.
Steve Schuch has delighted audiences from New England
to Alaska, the Netherlands, and the British Isles. Classically trained
on violin, he is also a gifted singer/songwriter, guitarist and storyteller.
Concert venues have included schools and colleges, classical series,
major folk festivals, and The Kennedy Center. Honors include composer
awards, Artist Fellowship Awards and five fiddling championships.
Odds Bodkin is a modern bard: a master storyteller,
author, and scholar. His performances have reached across the U.S.
and Great Britain. Odds is also an accomplished singer/songwriter
and multi-instrumentalist. Instruments include the Celtic harp,
six and twelve string guitars, piano, and recorder. His library
of storytelling recordings has received numerous national awards.
Odds was recently featured on CNN's Showbiz Today and New England
Chronicle.
