Long before television and videos, people told stories... their memories and dreams, their hopes and deepest imaginings. How do we foster our creativity and imaginations? How do we make our own music & stories today? These hands-on Workshops are for parents, children and educators looking to enrich language skills, creative writing and "unplugged" family time together.

Storytelling & the Nature of Imagination
Workshops range from 1-3 hours and may be combined
with other programs. Guitar and trained voice are not required.
Bring them along if you have them, but mostly bring your enthusiasm,
comfortable clothes and a willingness to try new things. A portable
tape recorder is also helpful, as is some familiarity with Gardner's
work on multiple-intelligences. For larger scale audiences, visit
our school assemblies page.
Funding & Resources
Recommended bibliography, song sheet handouts, and other resources
are provided, along with Steve Schuch's own recordings and songbooks.
These are excellent for in-service teacher training. Funding is
available from Eisenhower Title II grants, Title VI, and other sources.
Offered both as a smaller workshop and as a keynote address (for
larger groups).
